A Bouquet of Gelato in Paris

Updated: Nov 10, 2022

The best places are the ones you stumble upon by accident and "Amorino Gelato Al Naturale" in the beautiful Tuileries Gardens was spectacular. Gelato shaped like roses, topped with macarons and stuffed into a waffle cone warranted a second visit. Once again, it was our last day, and our next destination felt like it was a little holiday before returning home (to Paris). After a shaky start, Paris embraced us. My French improved quickly and I could mostly order without the help of Google. We were able to find our way around without a map and most mornings we enjoyed the local buskers on the metro that spoiled us with complex French-Accordion songs. By the end of our stay here, we had a pretty substantial pros vs. cons list for making Paris our future home (this gelato is on the list).

We had 10 days to assess the gelato game in the city. Although that may seem like more than enough time, we have barely found room to fit it in. In-between visits to the Louvre, the Palace of Versailles, Notre Dame and the Seine, as well as consuming more food than was safe, we didn't sample ANY other gelato in Paris.

So, from our very uneducated standpoints, you'll have to take our word that this place is the best in Paris.

For Travellers:

- Get these from a little ice-cream vendor in Tuileries Gardens in Paris. You can find Amorino Gelato Al Naturale smooshed between the Louvre and the Concorde. These were the "Grande Glace avec une Macaron". It'll cost you about €8 (about $12 aud) each. They're worth it.
